DOUBLE NECK GUITAR WEEK - Day 5: Jackson King V

Now this is cool. Dave Mustaine used to use these Jackson King V doublenecks live when playing the Megadeth song 'In My Darkest Hour' (and probably some other stuff too). This one is being sold on eBay by Neals Vintage Guitars. CLICK HERE to see the listing or to place a bid.

The eBay listing reads:

This is a 1997 Jackson USA Doubleneck King V Electric Guitar. It was custom ordered, and the only other one I have seen belongs to Dave Mustaine of Megadeth. This guitar was built in the Custom Shop. I am the 2nd owner, I bought it from a customer of mine who was a big Megadeth fan, so he custom ordered this guitar from Jackson.

It has a 6 and 12 string neck. It has 2 Jackson humbucking pickups on the 6 string neck and one on the 12 string neck. It has an ebony fretboard with sharkfin inlays. It has the Kahler non trem tail piece just like Dave's did and stop tail piece for the 12 string. Also there are 6 tuners mounted on the cutaway in the body for the other 6 strings on the 12 string neck.

This guitar has very little playing time, so it is pretty much in near mint condition with the exception of minor smudges as you normally see on black guitars. No nicks or dings at all, very nice! Both necks are extremely straight with super low action. Frets in excellent shape.

Comes with original factory hard shell case.

Now that Dave Mustaine's with Dean, there's a somewhat rare doubleneck version of his VMNT signature model which is quite similar to this Jackson, but includes Dave's signature Seymour Duncan Livewire Dave Mustaine active humbuckers.
